Actually, I can't think of the last time I watched either of those forms of entertainment. And it is for the reason you state here. I want to feel uplifted after a movie or show, not depressed. I once watch an episode of Breaking Bad. It was awful. Not once did anyone smile. Not once did anyone crack a joke. It was an hour long nightmare. If I want dark, which I get too much of these days anyway, I read the news.
