I’ve read that folks have Gates Carbon Belts break, tho they are advertised as lasting 30,000 kms. Ours lasted 3,975 ish kms. I’m the max rider weight for our bike and i mis-timed a rotation onto a curb with no momentum 🤷‍♂️ Thankfully was only 600 m from home so didn’t have to push the bike or call CAA. But as an all-season option that are low maintenance with a bit of washing and silicone spray? Pretty decent #ottawa #ottbike #biketooter
