My kids’ school just sent out their letter announcing the prom date and the rules. Anyone with an attendance of less than 95% is not allowed to attend prom. No matter the reason. So my son, who has been struggling with his mental health and who has already missed a few days because of it, doesn’t even want to bother signing up for prom because he feels it will be too much pressure to try and keep his attendance up just for prom and he doesn’t want me to be out of money if I pay the deposit. He is in all other aspects a model student so now he’s just being punished for having mental health struggles.
Another reason why UK schools suck.
