okay, I’ve refined the air ship model to resolve a couple of issues with today’s print. I also took the opportunity to refine a couple of approaches and modularized it a bit more to simplify printing/cut time/cut plastic, and added a few new bells and whistles that should make it a ton more fun!
next print starts tomorrow morning sometime, and we’ll be printing two huge air ships this time around (or at least half the parts for two huge air ships - it still takes a full print bed to run one full ship print with all the parts split out but it makes more sense to run one with the biggest parts and one with the other parts, so that’s how I’ve laid it out in the slicer).
between the two upcoming prints to produce two full air ship adventure kits (minus the action figures that will also go with the kit) will take about four and a half days and just under one full 5kg spool of PLA.
good times!
