I got to play Santa today, sort of. Grabbed the last 3 cartons of the cheapest eggs at Trader Joes (my husband is basically Gaston) and wound up giving them all away to people who came up and looked sadly at the hole where they should be.
It wasn't a huge sacrifice, the next more expensive eggs will not break us. Well, depending on how long this scarcity goes on...
