Another option is to just re-do the ML routines in BASIC. The ML is really short and just does 4 simple functions: print a line, get a char, show a file, and chat mode. I still worry that the basics (pardon the pun) like OPEN 5,2,0,CHR$(6) won't work on a PET at all...
