#878648 block bllody hell
I have been snowboarding in the mountains for over 30 years. freeride, next to the roads and slopes or in deep snow. these are the areas where I feel the power of nature. where I come down, I feel the spirituality and the spirits of my heritage, my ancestors. and the mountains and this connection with nature are also where I push myself to my limits and beyond... adrenaline in its root pure impact at 1:59 get into my body.
https://youtu.be/cjTiSpj_5nY
for the first time in my life, I wasn't really sure if the ride was a good idea... unaccompanied and alone. In front of me an abyss about 5 meters high. Whether there is enough powder for a jump... I dobted it. left no space to move, right no space to move. backwards is not possible because the powder is slipping. my backside from the board has hardly any grip either.
the rock was not vertical, more of a slope... well, almost vertical. so off I went into the turtle position and onto the rock face, hopefully sliding into the powder. somewhere there was a small rock kicker on the way down. an adrenaline bomb exploded at the bottom. especially when I realized that I had survived.
lesson: take good equipment and some cool dudes with you on your next rides
