When searching for help with getting rid of big tech from your life, you'll encounter the following two unhelpful, rage-inducing replies everywhere.
1. When asking about using Google service/app Xyz on de-Googled Android, there will always be that one reply that goes "why are you using Google on a de-Googled device? Get rid of it!" If you post this, fuck you. Getting rid of big tech is a process, a marathon, and not a sprint. Let people do it at their own pace.
2. "Just self-host bro." My guy (it's always a guy, of course), not everyone has the time, energy, capability, or money to self-host everything. If someone is searching for some hosted thing they can just sign up for and use, point them to the right services. Don't be that guy who reflexively barfs "jUsT sELf-hOst BrO" every fucking time.
