Haelwenn /элвэн/ :triskell: (npub1ysu…2jyl) I think there is no plan to incorporate rust into the kernel itself, but more into some drivers. Like Asahi Lina do with the Apple GPU driver. As long as you don’t use a system where a driver as been (re)written in rust there is no risk of having to require rust for your kernel. I don’t expect any C/C++ driver do be redone in rust, it’s too big of a challenge.
