It’s a shame “AI” has become synonymous with generative LLMs (scam tech).
Proton (npub19kd…t56d) just published a blog about how to use AI privately, which would actually bring pretty killer features to most of their products (e.g. private email categorization), but all the replies are about how evil “AI” in general is.
We should bring back “Machine Learning” to describe all the non-generative, useful forms of AI. There was never this kind of backlash with “ML” products.
