tl;dr: as an instance owner, you register your instance, set up webhooks to be sent to CCS. Then, when CSAM material is posted on your instance, you get a notification *a few seconds later* so that the appropriate steps can be taken. At no point will you yourself be exposed to CSAM. Check out the short demo video, it is really quick.
