npub1q400wdmhhzj9hrzy9k0xnrl6c6vf6crrantwyp4ldgdevxcjtfxsperrrr (npub1q40…rrrr) Safari has supported Progressive Web Apps for ever. Allowing an user to install a PWA from Safari to iOS and launch it full screen in its own scope just like a native app.
Now iOS has broken that functionality such that it will open as a tab in Safari as opposed to an app look and feel. The linked article also talks about how Safari logs you out of sites after 7 days which wasn't an issue for PWAs. So now all non native apps will only be a tab and get logged off if unused weekly.
