"content": "i know this dot pattern only from monochrome monitors when using a composite cable. In that case it’s the color signal which is not being interpreted by the monitor but instead displayed as a modulation of the monochrome signal. But in this case you have chroma and luma separated. Maybe the cable is indeed a bit crummy.",
