Also, without more information, who is actually going to change their behavior? What if next week they decide they preferred it when they were public?
Now everyone knows you go around liking posts that contain an oxford comma and someone doxes you and calls your house and your dad is crying and you've never seen him cry before and it upsets you more than you expect.
