There's some ability for some to take raw materials and make their own products end-to-end to assure safety and quality. But most will not have access to that.
And the very industries that have funded the rise of fascism have polluted and are still polluting our water so it's not like most of us can safely grab some of that from our nearest waterway...
It's not mere party politics at stake here.
