In the halls of power, naw. They're either inept, incompetent, or malicious.
But what I've been saying for a very long time is that hungry people are angry people. As they should be. There's no excuse for hunger in this country. Already, some people did not get their paychecks this week. Almost none of us could continue working endlessly with no idea when we could pay rent or buy groceries or pay for daycare or gas and your insurance gets cancelled because the deduction wasn't made in time.
Imagine the Hunger Marches and riots of the Great Depression...in a country where firearms outnumber people. If organized, we could see things like the Battle of Blair Mountain, except the Pinkertons were no US Army either in training or weaponry.
On the inside...so much of internal systems are a spaghetti of everything from cobol on up. There's a handful of people that know how to keep it running.
I dunno man, I'm rarely spooked...but I'm kinda worried atm.
