I hate debates. They’re useless. It’s performative bullshit. Nothing about it is real or informative. You know who likes debates? The media. Something for them to talk about and overanalyze. Candidates used to actually debate one another, for hours. This silly circus is not a debate. It’s sparring stump speeches with a little tête-à-tête mud slinging thrown in for the ratings.
I’ll bet there is no hand shaking, though.
