As Alberta is blanketed in some of the worst air quality in the world under a fire season that has started over a month before it usually does and a factor of several times more severity, I find myself thinking even more about Adam McKay's excellent line in Jacobin on politicians and climate change:
"It shows that many entrenched political forces can only understand the rapid warming of the planet as just another issue that polls indicate some people are concerned about."
