Here’s something I just thought of this evening while walking our two dogs (I do most of my thinking during our walks). If our pastor does not make us go, ‘Ouch’ once in a while, then either one of the four possibilities are operating:

1. The pastor is picking and choosing what to preach so he doesn’t offend anyone, or . . .
2. The pastor is not preaching the full message of God, (which is often the result of number one), or . . .
3. We are not paying attention to what he is saying, or . . .
4. We think we have a perpetual halo around our heads.

I don’t think number four is likely.
