Just discovered that the original (German military) "jerrycans" fuel canisters' #design featured three handles at the top, among other things. It allows carrying by two people jointly, or carrying two empty cans in each hand for a single person. That was some really clever #industrialdesign there, and I wish I could easily find these as a civilian, for house chores.
