So now after the foundation for LOD is there, I'll do one more pass on optimizing the GDScript version of my code, including threading (via semaphores) if possible. I'll save potential C++ conversion until I am perfectly happy with all the procgen stuff (don't want to recompile the GDExtension 1000 times).
And after that, I will turn the procgen stuff into a "part" so that the player can tinker with all of this. :)
