One thing I really appreciate about living in #Germany is this:
I've lived and worked in five different cities so far. And I've never really felt the need for a car - and thus never owned one.
Everyone I needed to go, I could go by #bicycle , by walking, or by public transportation. After staying in the USA for two months, back in 2008, I realized that this state of affairs was _not_ universal, and that there are far too many urban centers in the world where you are basically screwed if you don't have a car.
