Hi there, I recently found this article about the current state of privacy in nostr. We do indeed leak our ip addresses to relays, and much more.
https://consentonchain.github.io/blog/posts/nostr-privacy/ Your solution may not work because relays don't talk to each other, and even if, your local relay would also leak your ip to its peers.
