Outdated stats which cited general aviation, not *commercial*. Which means folks like John Denver, who had his pilot's license pulled over DUIs.
Studies also made a distinction. Male pilots - inattention or flawed decision-making (hold my beer). Female pilots - mishandling the aircraft. Make of that what you will.
