We left the city a couple years ago and are at the point where we’re raising 100% of our own pork and chicken in a way that makes us happy to feed it to our children. Our orchard is in its infancy and we’re getting better at gardening every year, although the learning curve was a little steep. The percentage of our food that we produce is going up by the year and the more we do this, the simpler we’ve realized that life can be. It’s rewarding and tastes better too!
