I’ve fallen into a YouTube rabbit hole of people taking old furniture, sanding off the rich wood stains, and bleaching/painting them white to “give them a less dated look”, and it’s honestly pissing me off. You want a “less dated” piece of furniture? Paint some Ikea or whatever. Just leave the antique oak pieces *alone*, goddammit.
