#Science illiteracy has it's personal & societal costs. For example, the other day l met a guy who was wild #camping. We got to talking about #WildFood. He pointed to some species of grass & said it's seeds tasted a bit like porridge (I.e., oats) I mentioned that there were books about wild food, but he said he wanted to learn by self experimentation. I tried to caution him by saying, for example, there are some species of mushrooms that you will only get to try once (ignorance epidemic?)
