At intervals I crank up my "rant volume" on my primary email mailing lists, all of which have been running for many years. The longest is PRIVACY Forum, which has been going continuously for (checking current digest annual volume number) around 33 years. I do this to drive off subscribers who (despite my occasional administrivia warnings) are expecting me to stay on technical topics as the world turns into a train wreck.
There was a cluster of these unsubs years ago when I expanded my topics, but since then there have been remarkably few. I suppose the readership has gotten used to me over the decades.
Fun fact: I'd estimate offhand that about 75% of the unsubs are from hotmail.com or aol.com addresses. I will refrain from comment on that aspect, for now.
