Happy to finally be able to talk about a project I've started
at Anthropic and worked on over the last months. We released
the Model Context Protocol as an Open Source project today.

Simply put, it's an open source protocol to connect LLM assistants
like Claude Desktop, Zed, Sourcegraph's Code to custom servers
providing context. It allows you to hookup a postgres server,
a kubernetes cluster, your sentry issues or whatever **you** need
to your LLM context.
