I'm thinking that it would be a good idea to prove this by contradiction.
I think i can create a set of scenes that progressively increase the complexity of the acceleration.
Basically, starting from a camera moving at constant speed, then looking at a point, then friction etc.
This should help us make sure that the issue is not on a lower level, let's say godot itself.
I'm going to work on that, maybe we can find something useful for all there!
