A lot of people try to claim Germany is stupid for ditching nuclear. But I see it doing very well. Power generation has shifted to smaller scale in solar and biogas. I see entire towns being provided with both hot water, heating and power from just corn, grass and manure.
It makes the towns much nicer to look at, there's nothing off limits and there's fewer ugly power lines everywhere.
Even with ridiculous taxes and regulation Germans live way way better than almost everyone else mostly because they work hard, and think seriously and long term and don't gamble or speculate
