I think I want to spin my Traveller hack to be about setting akin to First Era Beleriand instead of regular Sword and Sorcery.

Humans stuck between the Shadow, the immortal alien Elves and other mysterious powers. Magic is largely unattainable aside of specific effects or dark magic. No clerics but Valar "angels" and their miracles. Constant wars and destruction, ruins of old and hidden kingdoms. Honour nad glory, noble people and supernatural evil spoiling the world.
