I nearly came out of my chair when I heard that Trump's lawyers asked if he *really* needed to appear in person for the next hearing. DUDE! A guy died (from COVID) in pre-trial detention at Riker's because he couldn't make bail for a case of allegedly stealing a backpack. So, yeah, you need to appear in person for every minute of your felony fraud trial.
