Is that why Phillipson wants to turn back the clock to the pre-Blair era? Listening to her defend Labour’s Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill, you get the impression that, like her predecessor, she would prefer all schools to be bad than for some to be good. After all, if some children become winners by receiving an outstanding education, that wouldn’t be fair, right?
