I have. It was for a peer to peer software system where the NFTs functioned as unique identities for the users, with the ethereum chain working as the global name resolver for peer discovery.
I don't regret it, it was a cool idea.
I prefer Nostr 's permissionless key/identity system and think the tradeoffs are better, but the discovery "problem" remains.
