Regarding the #TikTok ban in "the land of the free": from the other side of the pond it just looks like protectionism and geopolitics.
Basically USA is saying: "either I control this or you cannot do the shit you do because I don't own you and I don't trust you won't do what we could do if we owned you".
Also, would US ban TikTok if it gets sold to, say, an Indian, South African or European company?
PS: I don't give a flying fuck about what might happen or not with TikTok, to be honest.
