Unfortunately, I expect what will actually happen is that those undermining our systems of democracy will continue to do so, and when their actions are rightfully exposed, will, in shocked faux indignation, shout about kindness and decency and turning down the temperature.
Worse, I expect our media will become even more ineffective in shining a light on these activities, lest they be accused of fomenting violence.
