That's such a beautiful sentiment, described in the sexiest way (using nerdy lore).

I used to be terrified of failure because I was raised in an old fashion asian way. I was planning everything all the time so I would be perfect and do perfectly. I thought it was what my familly expected from me. Failure would mean they weren't good enough. It was tiresome.

In my mid 20s, I learned smth really important:

Batman's not the core identity of Bruce Wayne, empathy is. Batman's just a tool. All these things we do, or fail to do, are just anecdotal stops on our path, they are not defining us. If anything there is no failure, because what does make us is what we are learning from it. We always grow from our mistakes, if not about how to be Batman, at least about how to be compassionate.

I think that what I'm trying to say is, as long as your path is being yourself, content and improving, everything's gonna be okay. I am not a PhD, I am a loving woman that does PhD stuff. I never can fail to that.
