Even devices that don't officially support Linux can run smoothly on it.
My Roland Fantom 6 Workstation Synthesizer for example only has official drivers for Windows and MacOS. However, if I connect the Fantom to my Linux machine, it works perfectly fine. Not only in generic driver mode (which only provides MIDI via USB), but also in vendor driver mode (which provides audio and MIDI via USB). And all that without any official driver needed to be downloaded and installed.
