Just had another meeting with entirely US-based astronomers and it's like every other sentence ends with something horrible that's currently happening due to the US gov't being gutted. I'm so sorry this is all happening...

But there were also lots of really cool ideas for reaching out to lots of very different groups of people to work together for dark sky conservation (which goes along with a lot of other good environmental practices). There's hope. People are working hard for good things.
