He jammed his wallet in my face too close to read the ID but blocking my view. Said he needed $20 for medicine for his daughter who was at the hospital nearby. I gave him $20 and he left.

Everyone said the story made no sense because in the USA hospitals just give you medicine and bill you after. I didn’t know that at the time.

I said it was $20 well spent. Either I helped a little girl or got off cheap from a mugging.
