It’s only just struck me having recently rewatched #Videodrome that Harlan, even though he’s secretly working with Barry Convex, boss of the opticians “Spectacular Optical”, wears an awful pair of glasses that really don’t suit him. If I ever have the honour of meeting Cronenberg I may ask him if this was a conscious irony after which he will regard me with utter contempt for wasting his time.
