🌟️ It would be good for COVID-cautious US Americans to know that their country is in no way special when it comes to COVID denial. Many EU countries (UK/Sweden especially) have done substantially worse for COVID and denial is now essentially the status quo everywhere given that protection from vaccines waned to nothing long ago and the highly-mutated strains currently circulating very easily evade most forms of immunity.

If wearing masks (or better yet, respirators) is not highly normalized in a country's culture, then the people are by and large engaging in COVID denial by not acknowledging the threat for what it is.

"Vaxxed and relaxed" is COVID denial.
