The IMF deal has masterfully smothered El Salvador's #Bitcoin experiment in exchange for $1.4b. The Salvadoran government has been handcuffed to the dollar for the foreseeable future, forbidden from acquiring more #BTC or daring to collect taxes in it. What boggles my mind is why they didn't opt for the volcano bonds option to raise the $1.4b?
