My home is extremely dry at the best of times and brutally dry in winter.

I am looking into options for humidifiers.

I have never owned an evaporative humidifier before. I like the idea of not using electricty (good for the planet & keeps bills down).

If you have ever owned one, how do you like it? How does it compare to mist humidifiers or ultrasonic?

My criteria
- Good air quality;
- Easy to refill;
- Holds lots of water;
- Easy to clean / maintain.
