i tried to do some decorations today, but i'm just not feeling it. i've put up a few tiny things, but any more and even one of those just feels wrong somehow.

but then, the climate is a mess. our situation and my health are a mess. the world in general is not in a fantastic state. and on the one hand, that makes me even more desperate to cultivate some holiday joy, but on the other, it just doesn't feel right. at least, not in the way i've tried.

i think this is to be expected though. things are not the same in so many ways; why would the same decorations necessarily work?

i guess i need to find what does.
