I kind of miss Reddit. People definitely gamed the algo for karma and the moderation could sometimes be dumb, but that didn't matter much if you subscribed to enough subreddits.

It was easy to find gems of knowledge in various different topics. And you could be a mom in one sub and a gardener in another. I find myself more reluctant to ask questions about random topics on nostr and even if i did ask, i get no replies. And i can't easily find other people who are interested in a very specific topic.

But they killed third party clients (pour one out for Apollo) and I left. And now I can't even see posts unless ai disconnect from VPN or use iCloud Private Relay. And it's a good source of content because it's seemingly generated mostly by humans. But they sell access to all of that data and share none of it with the users who created it. Wish they knew that they could be getting zapped over here.

TLDR; no point, i just miss using Reddit but won't go back because I don't agree with their changes.
