As someone who has been working on graph databases and ontological systems (warning: not all such systems are semantic web stuff) for almost 10 years now, it's some form of ant-climatic validation.
On the one hand, it's amazing that we can now potentially query the dormant knowledge of human civilsation using just our naturally-evolved language.
On the other hand, it's being used for the most menial of tasks, for replacing humans with machines, instead of making humans better.
