The MARCHintosh stuff just reinforces to me, how Mac users are still, decades later, inferior to Amiga users.

But, who needs better OSes and code at lower price points when you have reality distortion fields?

Playing MOD files on 68K Macs? With task swapping at best and no preemptive multitasking? No Agnus? No Denise? No Paula? What a waste of a perfectly good 68K.

Someone, not too long ago, was opining how it would be nice if more OSes than OpenBSD adopted doas, and while sure OpenDoas exists in MacPorts and more:

microkernels where the users are humans, outside of the computer rather than code abstractions in the OS which invariably lead to security violations, still seems like the smarter design to me.

But of course, when your "competition" in the mainstream consumer fields are things like MS-DOS and Windows and Linux, I guess mach/xnu/macOS still seem brilliant.

They're not. They never were.
