I dunno, as a passable machinist, I'd say it's more like a manual machine with electro-shock therapy if you try to do the wrong thing.

I'm no Rust expert, and have only done some minor things, but it feels like a system that makes it wildly harder to do the wrong thing, but not significantly easier to do the right thing.
